First Trip to Dog Park

I’m Toni, a graduate student in Women’s Studies who turns to blogs as a happy distraction from school. I enjoy acting like a tourist in my own city and state: sightseeing, exploring, just getting out and walking around in a new corner of town is probably the activity that makes me happiest. Other loves, hobbies, and/or obsessions include decorating my house with thrifted and Craigslist finds, ogling vintage fashion, feeding my addictions to various TV shows, annoying my friends and family with constant picture-taking, and playing with my puppy dog, Herman. Many blogs inspire me every day, whether I’m in the mood to read about fashion, food, interior design, politics, feminism, or life in general..

Sometimes I wish my blog was devoted to just one theme, but it’s called La Vie Toni for a reason. I include a little bit of everything in this space–with a disproportionate amount of writing devoted to talking about How Stressed I Am. I’m working on reducing that (the stress, and the writing about stress).

Feel free to say hello or browse through the huge list of great links in my Blogroll!

You are a very talented young woman and I wish you the very best this world and life have to offer. You remind me a bit of a much younger version of myself. I happened upon your blog this morning and I only wish I had more time to look at all of your lovely photos, but I need to get to work. I will be checking in to see your progress. Keep up the great work!

  6. Hi! Thanks so much for sharing your pictures of the New York trip. I live in Nashville, Tennessee and I must say I have a bit of a fascination for NYC and the pics were great, thanks. I recently created a new blog, I’d love to have you as a “friend.” I’m going to subscribe to your post and read it as I have more time…I’m a freelance writer and I need to get back to work at the moment. LONG time follower of your posting since the cocoano youtube days, really pleased to find your wonderful words and face again.

You seem to have a fantastic eye no matter what you see and such a lyrical way of expressing it. Hope the stress can be put to good creative use (or just plain got away from might help).

    Hi Toni,
i love your picture, and noticed you love to walk in new neighbourhoods and explore. We are putting out a book called “Actors Exercises for Everybody” that which includes an exercise called “Getting Lost” in “Habit/Pattern Changing” – all about the new! So it was lovely to see you already doing this. I also love all the links on your blog – that will keep me going for some time. Thanks,
